Gervase de Peyer has traveled the world sharing with student audiences, general public and concert audiences his experience and expertise in the field of music.
For several years principal clarinet Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London and also visiting Professor at The Royal College of Music, Gervase de Peyer frequently gives master classes for both institutions. He was made a Fellow of the RCM by Her Majesty The Queen Mother. De Peyer is also a guest teacher and examiner at The Royal Northern School of Music in Manchester England.
Gervase de Peyer conducts Master Classes all around the world including Japan (Tokyo, Osaka), Korea (Seoul), Canada (Victoria, Banff, Domaine Forget), Hong Kong, Australia (Sydney, Melbourne), Paris (Conservatoire National de Musique), Germany (Freiburg, Stuttgart), Italy (Assisi, Montescalioso, Rome, Orvieto), England (Royal College of Music, Dartington, Cheshire, Canterbury).
His teaching credits in the US include Queens College and Mannes School of Music in New York where he conducted a regular wind band orchestral repertory class. Repertoire choices of interesting orchestral works such as Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms and other symphonic works were rehearsed each week. In 1992/93 Gervase de Peyer was awarded the Hans and Thelma Lehman Distinguished Professor and Senior Artist in Residence at the University of Seattle.
Mr. de Peyer is a regular guest examiner on many international jury panels. These include the “Young Concert Artists” competition in NY, the International Chamber Music Competition in Trapani Sicily, the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in London. He was Chairman of the jury for the International Clarinet Competition in Prague and the International Clarinet Competition in Madeira, Portugal. He is regularly in demand, giving Master Classes at the R.C.M, The Royal Academy of Music, Trinity College and The Royal Northern School of Music in Manchester.
